Why Did Kayla Itsines And Tobi Pearce Split? Baby Daddy
Kayla itsines and Tobi Pearce split in 2020 after a year of having a baby. After nearly eight years together, the Australian trainer revealed on Instagram that she and Pearce would be splitting up.
Itsines, who built a fitness empire with her BBG training program and then co-founded the app SWEAT with Pearce, stated that the two will "remain good friends" while raising their 1-year-old daughter Arna Leia.
"After eight years of marriage, Tobi and I have made the tough choice to divorce," the fitness teacher began the long post. "We will always be family, dear friends, and Arna's loving parents."
Itsines, 29, assured her nearly 13 million followers that she and Pearce's friendship "remains strong" as they raise Arna and "run SWEAT as business partners."
"Thank you for your compassion and support at this difficult time," she said at the end of the message, which Pearce also posted on his Instagram account.
The two first met in a gym in 2012 and went on to co-create one of the world's most successful online workout apps and programs(People).
They were engaged, on the AFR Young Rich List, and doting parents to their one-year-old daughter Arna. Kayla and Tobi only showered love on each other in press interviews, and things appeared to be relatively rosy from the outside.
But it was just the perfect portrayal.
Following their divorce, the pair sold their fitness enterprise to a US software conglomerate for an estimated $400 million.
According to the Australian Financial Review, the SWEAT app made $99.5 million in revenue alone in 2020.
